Following Round 20 of the UAE Pro League, Shabab al Ahli still occupy first place with 45 points, but Al Ain, Al Wahda, and Al Wasel are all close behind level on 40 points each. UAE Super Cup winners & title contenders Sharjah FC are still in the hunt in fifth place with 38 points.

In the most recent set of fixtures, Shabab Al Ahli were 3-1 victors against Khorfakkan, Sharjah FC won 3-0 against Al Bateah, and Al Wahda beat Al Dhafra with a 3-1 scoreline. However, the most surprising result of the round was Al Ain’s 1-0 loss to Al Nasr at home.

The 2020-2023 UAE Pro League season has been highly competitive, with more teams than ever before contesting for first place in the championship.

The UAE Pro League consists of 14 teams who play each other twice in a 26-game season. With only six games remaining for every team, the race for the league title is still completely wide open.

Will Shabab Al Ahli maintain their lead, or will Al Ain, Al Wahda, Al Wasl, or Sharjah FC come from close behind to take the top spot?

Gameday 21 kicks off after the international break and features some heavyweight clashes between teams vying for important wins.

In arguably the biggest game of the season so far, league leaders Shabab Al Ahli will play against second-Al Ain FC away. In another top-of-the-table clash, Al Wahda will face Sharjah FC and Al Wasl will play against Al Jazira FC at home.

Fans from across the globe can expect a fantastic, intriguing set of games as we head toward the business end of the UAE Pro League season.
