The sixth matchweek of the UAE Pro League concluded on Sunday with two home teams emerging victorious, three teams winning away from home and two matches ending in a draw. The weekend also saw 14 goals and 4 red cards.

Al Wasl secured 1-0 win against table toppers Sharjah FC, after a much-anticipated, sold out game with plenty of controversial decisions by the referee. After handing out second yellow card to Caio Lucas and sending him off, the goal was scored by Gilberto Oliviera.

The result means that Al Wasl climb to the top of the table, and Sharjah come down to second place.

Meanwhile, Al Nasr shared spoils with Bani Yas in a 1-1 draw, with Al Nasr also having to suffer a large part of the game with 10 men.

Ajman played out a 0-0 draw at home against Khorfokkan.

Newly promoted side Al Bateah continue their impressive run in the Pro League after winning away against Al Dhafra 2-1. Al Bateah sit in 8th place in the league and Al Dhafra at 13th – in the relegation zone.

Al Ain suffered a 2-3 loss at home against Al Wahda, with fans turning up in vast numbers for both teams. Soufiane Rahimi’s brace was not enough to help Al Ain get over the line.

Shabab Al Ahli secured a win against an unbeaten Al Jazira side after late winner from Yousif Jaber in the 97th min. The goal came after Al Jazira captain and goalkeeper Ali Khasif was shown a red card for a bad tackle from outside the box.

Ithihad Kalba secured a comfortable 2-0 win against Dibba Al Fujairah, who are yet to find a victory and are currently sitting at the bottom of the table.

After matchweek 6, Al Wasl are the only team that remains unbeaten in the league.
