Round six of the Saudi pro League certainly was an entertaining one.

There were some great games, some incredible goals and surprising results for some teams. Other clubs found themselves on the short end of the stick, with several blowouts taking place this past weekend.

The round of fixtures was highlighted by the Al Nassr clash with Al-Raed, however, there were many other great fixtures as well.

Al-Hilal really the title contender

Al Hilal put six goals past Al Riyadh, but there story did not end there, with five different players making the scoresheet. One of those players included Salem Aldawsari who sits currently in second position of top scorer, tied with Sadio Mane, only behind Cristiano Ronaldo.

Al Nassr FC in winning ways

Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Talisca were all on the score sheet as Al Nassr won their fourth game in a row this season. Ronaldo has already scored seven goals on this campaign and Mane has score six. Al Nassr are certainly eyeing the top spot in coming weeks.

Al Etihad saved by Benzema

Defending champions Al-Ittihad began the latest match week with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Al Akhdoud, thanks to Karim Benzema who scored the only goal. Al Etihad are sitting just a one point behind the league leader Al Ahli.

Al Ahli grind out win

Al Ahli won a hard-fought 3-2 win against Al-Taawoun in matchday six. Allan Saint-Maximin, who recently joined from Premier League side Newcastle United, was on the score sheet. Coach Matthias Jaissle felt relieved, having lost the previous league game 5-1 to Al Fateh.

Saudi Pro League, full results – matchday six:

  • Al Akhdoud 0 – 1 Al Ittihad
  • Al Wehda 4 – 2 Damac
  • Al Feiha 0 – 1 Al Shabab
  • Al Ahli 3 – 2 Al Taawoun
  • Al Raed 1 – 3 Al Nassr
  • Al Hazm 1 – 2 Al Ta’ee
  • Abha 1 – 3 Al Ettifaq
  • Al Khaleej 1 – 3 Al Fateh
  • Al Hilal 6 – 1 Al Riyadh
