Borussia Dortmund thrashed Freiburg 4-0 at the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday afternoon, with another promising young player showcasing his skills for BVB.
Reyna, the American Dream
This time it was Giovanni Reyna, son of Claudio, the former Sunderland and Man City midfielder. Reyna, who is 17-years-old, assisted three goals, two of those were scored by striker Erling Haaland.
Reyna is the first American to record three assists in a match in the top 5 European leagues since Steve Cherundolo for Hannover in March 2008. He is now joint top of the assist charts, level with Bayern Munich’s Thomas Müller and Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Jonas Hofmann.
