Borussia Dortmund thrashed Freiburg 4-0 at the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday afternoon, with another promising young player showcasing his skills for BVB.

Reyna, the American Dream

This time it was Giovanni Reyna, son of Claudio, the former Sunderland and Man City midfielder. Reyna, who is 17-years-old, assisted three goals, two of those were scored by striker Erling Haaland.

Reyna is the first American to record three assists in a match in the top 5 European leagues since Steve Cherundolo for Hannover in March 2008. He is now joint top of the assist charts, level with Bayern Munich’s Thomas Müller and Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Jonas Hofmann.

Kramaric can’t stop scoring

Andrej Kramarić is the leading goal-scorer after three weeks of the Bundesliga. The former Leicester forward has scored eight goals for Hoffenheim this season, including two in the DFB Pokal cup.

Kramarić has scored 11 goals in his last five Bundesliga matches. He scored four goals on the final day of last season in a 4-0 win, and has continued his form with a hat-trick on the opening day against FC Koln and a brace against Bayern Munich in a famous 4-1 victory.

The Croat was on the scoresheet again for the fifth Bundesliga game running when he scored in a 2-1 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Robert Lewandowski, top-scorer last season in the Bundesliga with 34 goals, is second in the goal-charts with five goals while Haaland is third with four goals.
