The 10th round of the UAE Pro League saw some surprising results and concerted effort to chase down Al Wasl’s first place.
Al Wahda 2-2 Al Wasl
Al Wahda FC earned a 2-2 draw against league leaders Al Wasl in a tight match.
The leaders looked dominant as they scored two goals in the first 20 minutes, but Omar Khrbin’s goal for Al Wahda kept them in the hunt.
However, things got harder for the home team when the referee gave a second yellow card to Khalid Butti and sent him off in the 63rd minute.
Despite the disadvantage, Omar Kharbin scored another goal for Al Wahda, securing a 2-2 draw.
The result kept Al Wasl at the top of the Pro League table with 24 points, while Al Wahda FC closed the gap on opponents in 5th position with 17 points.
Shabab Al Ahli 7-0 Emirates
Shabab Al Ahli demonstrated their strength with a stunning 7-0 victory over Emirates in the tenth matchweek of the ADNOC Pro League at Rashid Stadium.
The game started with a bang as Guilherme Da Silva scored within the first 30 seconds, recording one of the fastest goals in the team’s history.
Yuri Cesar and Guilherme increased the lead with goals in the 7th and 14th minutes.
Emirates faced more trouble when the referee showed a red card to Fahad Sabeel in the 47th minute, giving Shabab Al Ahli an edge.
They used it to score four more goals and seal a convincing 7-0 win. Yuri Cesar and Mateus Lima joined the scoring.
Harib Abdalla Suhail completed the rout with two more goals in the 73rd and 85th minutes, capping off Shabab Al Ahli’s impressive victory.

Al Jazira 1-5 Ajman
In a shocking upset for the ADNOC Pro League, Ajman defeated Al Jazira 5-1, creating the week’s biggest surprise.
The result increased the pressure on coach De Boer and in fact lead to his sacking.
The game changed in the first 21 minutes when the referee sent off Jazira’s goalkeeper, Abdulrahman Alameri, leaving the capital club with 10 players.
Ajman FC took advantage of the situation and scored the opening goal in the 37th minute through Hikal Chikhaoui.
Khalfan Mubarak equalized for Jazira two minutes later, but the match turned again when Jazira’s midfielder Mamadou Coulibaly also received a red card, reducing the team to nine players.
