Man City face Brighton

Manchester City host a depleted Brighton side at the Etihad Stadium with the aim of closing the gap on neighbours Manchester United at the top of the table.

Man City form

City have won their last six games in all competitions since they drew 1-1 with West Brom. Pep Guardiolaโ€™s men have won three league matches in a row and are unbeaten in their last 13 games in all competitions. Man City sit sixth, seven points off the top with two games in hand.

The visit of Brighton is a start of a favourable run of games where they face Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, West Brom, Sheffield United and Burnley.

John Stones and Ruben Dias have formed a strong partnership in the centre of defence and have conceded just one goal when starting together.

Brighton form

Brighton are winless in their last eight league games and sit just three points above the drop zone. They are without key starters Yves Bissouma, Tariq Lamptey and Danny Welbeck for the away trip while Aaron Connoly and Adam Lallana are also expected to miss the game.

Graham Potterโ€™s side are 17th and have won just two games in the Premier League this season, against Aston Villa and Newcastle.
