Leeds host Arsenal

The Premier League resumes this weekend after an international break. Leeds host Arsenal at Elland Road, with both sides hoping to return to winning ways after heavy defeats.

Leeds form

The West Yorkshire club sit 15th after back-to-back 4-1 defeats against Crystal Palace and Leicester. Crystal Palace scored four times from just six shots on target and had 10 shots in total.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have won three, drawn one and lost four so far in the Premier League. Leeds have conceded 17 goals in the league – the joint worst defensive record in the division.

Arsenal form

Arsenal are 11th and after a morale-boosting 1-0 win at Old Trafford, they were beaten 3-0 by Aston Villa at the Emirates.

They have won four and lost four in the league this season under Mikel Arteta, with those four losses coming in their last six games.

The Gunners have failed to score in three of their last four league games and have managed just nine goals in eight games.

Strikers

Patrick Bamford has had a dream start to the season, scoring seven in eight league games this season, while Arsenal’s top scorer from last season – Pierre Emerick Aubameyang – has scored just once from open play in the league this season.
