The match
Phil Foden’s deflected strike wrong footed Jordan Pickford and gave the visitors the lead in the 32nd minute.
Five minutes later, Everton were level. Richarlison turned in Lucas Digne’s cross after the ball came off the post.
It was the first time Man City had conceded from open play in the Premier League since the 3rd of January.
Riyad Mahrez’s brilliant curling effort restored City’s lead, before a fluid team move was finished off by Bernardo Silva in the 77th minute.
What it means
Pep Guardiola’s side are now 10 points clear of Manchester United in second and have won 17 successive matches in all competitions.
They also became the first team in English top-flight history to win their opening 10 matches in a calendar year.
Everton have lost their last two in the league, and have also been beaten in their last three at Goodison Park. They travel to Anfield on Saturday to face Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.
