Chance for Molde to go five points clear

It is time for Matchday 12 of the Eliteserien with league-leaders Molde hoping to return to winning ways after their shock 1-0 defeat against Sarpsborg last weekend.

Erling Moe’s side were beaten for just the second time last weekend but still hold a two-point lead over reigining champions Bodø/Glimt, who are currently on a dismal run of form – having won just one of their last five league games.

Bodø/Glimt were also beaten in the first leg of the Champions League First qualifying round, going down 3-2 against Legia Warsaw.

They have a weekend off and can prepare for their difficult game in Warsaw on Wednesday night.

Molde have a game in hand on the champions and can therefore extend their lead at the top to five points.

They host Odd, who are unbeaten in their last five – winning three of those. Tobias Lauritsen equalised in the 89th minute against Rosenborg last weekend to salvage a point for Jan Frode Norses’ side.

Odd are seventh in the table and have lost just twice this season.

Battle between two in-form sides

Meanwhile, Vålerenga can close to within one point of second if they get the better of Lillestrøm SK on Sunday. The hosts are unbeaten in their last five but they face a Lillestrøm side, who haven’t been defeated in their last six.
