All four ties end level

There is set to be drama in the second legs of the Mexico Liga Premier quarter-final second legs as all of the first legs ended in draws.

Exciting draw

The most exciting first leg was between Colima and Inter Playa del Carmen which ended 2-2. Gerardo Madrid nodded home from a corner to put the hosts in front after 32 minutes, before Jose Luis Calderon also headed home from a corner six minutes later to put the visitors level.

Raul Suarez lifted a shot over the onrushing goalkeeper to give Inter Playa the lead but Colima forward Kevin Chaurand scored from the penalty spot with eight minutes remaining to level the scores going into the second leg on Friday.

Gonzalez equalises at the death

Irapuato drew 1-1 against Reboceros de La Piedad in the only other quarter-final where goals were scored.

Alberto Garcia scored to give Irapuato the lead after 20 minutes but with five minutes remaining, Diego Gonzalez equalised to leave the tie evenly poised.

Goalless draws

The other two ties, where Group 1 and 2 winners Alacranes de Durango and Cruz Azul Hidalgo faced Gavilanes de Matamoros and Cafetaleros de Chiapas II  respectively, the scores finished 0-0.

Second legs

The first second leg to be played is Inter Playa del Carmen against Colima on Friday evening (BST), while the other three ties will be played over the weekend
