Montepllier extend lead
Montpellier have extended their lead at the top of the Ligue A table to nine points after winning yet again, 3-0 against Tours (25-21, 25-22, 25-18), as Cannes were beaten.
Nicolas Le Goff scored 18 points and made eight blocks in yet another commanding performance.
The league leaders have won 17 of 20 matches this season and have 49 points – nine more than Cannes in second.

Cannes outclassed
Cannes’ four match winning run was ended by a 3-0 defeat at home to Cambrai (22-25, 19-25, 19-25).
Cannes had won their last 10 sets going into the match, but were outplayed by a Cambrai side who had Brazilian Daniel Cagliari in top form – he scored 20 points, including five aces.
Fixtures
With the win, Cambrai have now won their last four matches, and climb to fifth in the table.
They host Tours, who sit fourth and are level on points with. Cannes host 10th placed Sete.
At the time of writing, Montpellier lead Tourcoing by two sets to love and are well placed to go 12 points clear.
