Club León scored a dramatic late stoppage-time goal to defeat strugglers Mazaltán and stretch their lead at the top of the Liga MX to four points.
Ignacio Ambríz’s side fell behind when striker Miguel Sansores latched on to Luis Angel Mendoza’s cross to guide the ball past the goalkeeper in the 51st minute.
The Liga MX leaders were behind until the 83rd minute when substitute Jean Meneses clipped in a precise free kick. They pushed for a winner and eventually broke through the stubborn defence of Mazaltán as Ecuadorian Angel Mena found the net from the penalty spot to score his sixth goal in just 11 games.
