León go six points clear

Club León came back from 2-1 down to beat Club America 3-2 to go six points clear at the top of the Liga MX.

The match

The league leaders took the lead in the 24th minute through Fernando Navarro, on his 200th league appearance for the club. He raced on to a through ball from Jose David Ramirez to guide it past the onrushing goalkeeper.

Jean Meneses equalised on the stroke of half-time after Angel Mena put him through on goal with the goalkeeper. Mena was at the heart of the winning goal as he jinked past a few defenders and pulled the ball at the by-line for Luis Monte to finish.
