With three weeks to go in the Apertura section of the Liga MX, Club León travel to face Club Puebla at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc hoping to win six games in a row and take a step closer to the title. They just need four points from their last three games to win the Apertura title. A win guarantees the title if Pumas do not win.

Club León stats

Igancio Ambriz’s team have won four, drawn two and lost one of their seven away matches this season. The league leaders have scored just eight away goals in those seven games, conceding four. León have won three away matches to nil. Winger Ángel Mena is León’s top scorer with seven goals.

Club Puebla stats

Club Puebla are 12th in Liga MX – without a win in their last three matches. They were beaten 3-1 by Monterrey in their last match, despite having more shots and more possession than the home side. Last year’s two meetings between the teams were split with a win apiece.

Juan Reynoso Guzmán’s side have won just once at home this season, drawing twice and losing their other three. Puebla player Omar Fernández Frasica is second in the league for assists with five.

Tigres vs Juárez

Elsewhere, Tigres face Juárez with the hosts victorious in their last five games and unbeaten in six. They have also not conceded for over 400 minutes with Ricard Ferretti’s side holding the second best defensive record in the league – conceding just 11. Tigres won both matches last season against Juárez.

Juárez are 13th and have won just three of their 14 matches. The visitors have not won in their past four matches and have won just once away from home this season, keeping one clean sheet. Juarez forward Darío Lezcano is the fourth top scorer in the division with seven goals.

Other matches

Club America hope to bounce back from defeat against León when they face 15th placed Atlas – who are just two points off bottom spot. The hosts have got the better of Atlas in their past three meetings.

Also, fourth-placed Cruz Azul travel to Guadalajara. Cruz Azul are winless in their last three fixtures.
