After two months of action, the 2024 Venezuela Cup concluded with the final match between Metropolitanos and Deportivo La Guaira at the Brígido Iriarte Olympic Stadium in Caracas.
Deportivo La Guaira’s Road to Glory
Deportivo La Guaira won the match 1-0 in a close contest. The decisive moment came in the 41st minute when an own goal by Leonardo Pérez secured the victory.
Deportivo La Guaira’s path to the title included victories over Estudiantes de Mérida, UCV FC, and Rayo Zuliano. Metropolitanos eliminated Inter de Barinas, Academia Puerto Cabello, and Monagas to reach the final.

This victory marks Deportivo La Guaira’s third Venezuela Cup title, having previously won in 2014 and 2015.
The 2024 Venezuela Cup featured 30 teams: 14 from the FUTVE League and 16 from the FUTVE2 League. The tournament honoured Venezuelan soccer legend Luis Mendoza.
