Volley Lube hope to keep up 100% record

Champions Cucine Lube Civitanova face Volley Calipo in the Italian SuperLega, hoping to continue their perfect start to the season.

Lube have won all eight matches and are on 23 points, leading Perugia by two points – who have played a game fewer.

De Giorgi confident

The league-leaders haven’t played since the October 25th, when they beat Milano 3-0. Coach Ferndinado De Giorgi is pleased to have everyone fit and is confident in his side’s chances of making it nine wins from nine.

He said: “We are finally complete. Jiri Kovar has returned full time and Enrico Diamantini has resumed training. We have had time to focus on the opponent and we will not be caught unprepared.”

Yoandy Leal has scored 112 points for Lube this season, making nine aces.

Calipo in good form

Volley Calipo are in fourth with five wins from their eight games. They have won five of their last six matches and have scored 531 points in eight matches – the second highest in the league.

Thibault Rossard has scored 143 points for Calipo – the fourth highest in the league.

Other matches
