PSV crush AZ
In the last two seasons, PSV lost in Alkmaar without scoring a goal. Therefore this was going to be the first real test for PSV this season. And they passed the test in flying colours to win 3-0.

10 minutes into the game AZ created the first chance, but Vangelis Pavlidis failed to finish.
A few minutes later, PSV countered after an AZ attack and the ball ended up at Olivier Boscagli’s feet.
30 yards away from the goal there were no AZ defenders nearby and Olivier Boscagli decided to take the shot and fired an absolute screamer in the right top corner.
In the second half, PSV coach Roger Schmidt decided to rest some key players, as they have the Europa League match against Spanish side Real Sociedad coming up this week.
After an hour, Eran Zahavi, Noni Madueke, Marco van Ginkel and Cody Gakpo were a;; substituted.
This turned out to be a perfect move, as in the 67th minute substitute Yorbe Vertessen scored to make it 2-0. Seven minute from time, another substitute Ritsu Doan, curled a shot into the top left corner from outside the penalty box.
Ajax stroll past PEC Zwolle
PEC Zwolle went into the match against champions Ajax without a point or a goal this season and they continued that dismal run after a 2-0 defeat.

Ajax had won the previous 12 meetings and a 13th straight win was sealed by two Sebastian Haller goals.
It was a straight-forward assignment for Ajax, who conserved energy ahead of their Champions League clash against Sporting Lisbon.
After missing some chances, the first goal was scored in the 29th minute by Haller, who also scored twice for Ivory Coast during the international break.
The hosts pushed for an equalizer but Haller scored his second of the game with a header from a corner midway through the second half.
Other results
Feyenoord did not play as they have a Conference League game in Israel against Maccabi Haifa on Tuesday afternoon. Normally the game would be played on Thursday, but it was moved due to a Jewish festival.
Therefore the game against Heracles has been rescheduled to December. This meant that FC Utrecht could stay in third place. They were beaten 1-0 by FC Twente courtesy of a late goal from Robin Pröpper.
On Sunday, Heerenveen, NEC and Willem II had the chance to go third, however SC Heerenveen were held to a 1-1 draw against Groningen, while NEC and Willem II drew 0-0.
PSV are on top with 12 points, while Ajax have 10, and Utrecht, Heerenveen, NEC and Willem II now all follow with seven.
PEC Zwolle stay bottom of the league and are without a point. Heracles only have one point, but they have played one match fewer.
