Niek Vossebelt finished off a rebound to put Roda in front after 22 minutes but Cas Dijkstra’s well-timed volley three minutes later levelled things up.
Seven minutes later, things got better for the hosts as a stunning backheel from Dijkstra set up Rashaan Fernandes, who finished with aplomb into the far corner with his left foot.
Glynor Plet smashed a shot home from close range after Fernandes smartly cushioned the ball into his path.
The match looked win for Telstar, who were looking for their first win of the season.
But Stefano Marzo’s powerful shot into the far corner halved the deficit in the 63rd minute and Roda meant business.
Xian Emmers’ shot from distance three minutes later beat the dive of Trevor Doornbusch at the near-post to equalise.
Then into the sixth minute of injury time, substitute Fabian Serrarens rifled a volley into the net to complete a remarkable second-half comeback.
What does it mean?
Jurgen Streppel’s side rose to second in the table with the win and have two wins from three games.
