Dallinga bags four as Excelsior hammer Den Bosch

Thijs Dallinga scored four as Excelsior tore Den Bosch apart to record a 5-0 win at De Vliert.

The 21-year-old striker was in blistering form as he scored a hat-trick in the first half-hour to go top of the goalscoring charts.

He volleyed home from close range to open the scoring in the 19th minute, before he calmly cut inside and rolled the ball into the bottom corner to make it 2-0 seven minutes later.

He got his hat-trick on the hour-mark when he connected with Reuven Niemeijer’s cross and then finished off the rebound.

Dallinga slotted home with 16 minutes to go to score his fourth before his striker partner, Niemeijer got in on the act with a fifth four minutes from time after he exchanged passes with Redouan El Yaakoubi.

Excelsior won their third match in four to go second in the table, while Den Bosch lost their third game in a row after winning their first two games of the season.
