Puntarenas score late winner despite early red card
Despite having Wilmar Nunez sent off in the first minute, Keylor Ramirez scored a 90th minute winner as Puntarenas beat Marineros de Puntarenas 1-0 in Group A. The win puts them second in the table.

Guanacasteca draw but still lead Group A
Apertura winners Guanacasteca drew 0-0 at home to AD Municipal Liberia to drop their first points of the Liga de Ascenso Clausura season. They still top the Group A table with seven points from three games.

Group B
In Group B, Municipal San Ramon drew 0-0 with Santa Ana but have taken command of the group with seven points from three games. Previous leaders Deportiva Carmelita were hammered 6-2 by AD Cofutpa. Berny Solorzano scored a hat-trick for Cofutpa, who won their first game of the Clausura season.
Group C
Steven Cardenas scored an 80th minute winner as Barrio Mexico edged past Futbol Consultants 2-1 to take an outright lead in Group C. CS Uruguay are second after a narrow 1-0 win against AD Aserri.
