Bundesliga preview: Bayern travel to Koln, Bielefeld vs Dortmund

In-form Bayern face Köln

Bayern Munich travel to FC Köln in the Bundesliga, hoping to continue their good form.

Hansi Flick’s side battered Eintracht Frankfurt 5-0 last weekend with Robert Lewandowski scoring another hat-trick and the champions have scored 22 goals in five Bundesliga matches this season.

Stats and head-to-head

FC Köln are looking for their first league win of the season and are without a victory in the Bundesliga since March, a run of 15 games.

Bayern have won 11 of the last 12 matches between the sides and last lost to Köln in 2011.

Robert Lewandowski has scored 10 goals this season in just four starts –  averaging a goal every 37 minutes.

Dortmund hope to end hoodoo

Borussia Dortmund travel to Arminia Bielefeld, aiming to win their four straight Bundesliga game.

Dortmund won 3-0 against rivals Schalke last week and are third in the league with 12 points, one point off Leipzig in top spot.

Stats and head-to-head

Erling Haaland scored his fifth Bundesliga goal last weekend – he has 18 in 20 matches since he joined Dortmund.

The visitors haven’t won on any of their last six visits to Bielefeld but the last time they faced each other in the Bundesliga was in 2009.

The promoted side have lost their past three Bundesliga games, conceding seven goals. They were beaten 2-1 by Wolfsburg last week.

Borussia Monchengladbach host top of the table RB Leipzig at Borussia-Park searching for their first ever win against Julian Nagelsmann’s team.

Gladbach hope to beat Leipzig for first time

Gladbach came back from 2-1 down against Mainz to win 3-2 last weekend and are now unbeaten in their last four league games.

Marco Rose’s side are in sixth place with eight points, while Leipzig are top with 13, after four wins from their five games.

Leipzig won 2-1 against Hertha Berlin and have an excellent record against Gladbach – winning five and drawing three of their last eight meetings in the Bundesliga.

Schalke –  21 games without a win

Meanwhile, Schalke will be desperate their winless run of 21 Bundesliga games, when they host promoted Stuttgart.

Stuttgart have won both of their away matches this season – scoring six goals. They have scored 10 goals this season, which is the fourth highest in the division behind the top three sides.
