The match
Christopher Nkunku gave the visitors the lead after 19 minutes, racing on to a Emil Forsberg through ball and rounding the stranded Manuel Neuer to pass the ball into the empty net.
The hosts quickly responded with a fabulous, precise hit from 17-year-old Englishman Jamal Musiala on the half-hour mark, who came off the bench for the injured Javi Martinez.
Four minutes later, Bayern were ahead after slicing through Leipzig’s backline. Robert Lewandowski came deep and nutmegged Dayot Upamecano and fed Kingsley Coman, who slid a pass to Thomas Muller and he clinically finished past Peter Gulascsi.
Within a minute, Leipzig were level. Justin Kluivert, on loan from Roma, equalised with a smart turn and drilled finish after a clever pass by Amadou Haidara.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side went ahead three minutes after half-time when an unmarked Emil Forsberg headed in from Angelino’s cross.
With 15 minutes remaining, Hansi Flick’s side drew level as Muller powered a header past Gulascsi from Coman’s cross.
It was Coman’s third assist of the game.

Stats
Bayern lead the table on 23 points from 10 games, one point ahead of new second-placed side Bayer Leverkusen and two ahead of Leipzig.
It was the first time Leipzig had scored at the Allianz Arena, after four previous shut-outs.
After failing to score in the first eight Bundesliga games, Nkunku has now scored in back-to-back games.
Musiala has scored three times off the bench this season, and is only the fourth 17-year-old to score at least three Bundesliga goals, after Christian Pulisic, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner.
Bayern have now scored 34 goals in their first 10 Bundesliga games.
