Boca two points off top
Boca Volley rose to second in the Argentina Division de Honor table after they secured an important 3-0 away victory over Gimnasia y Esgrima (25-20; 28-26, 25-18).

It was an important win to to put pressure on the leaders, Banco Provincia.
Gimnasia started slowly and went 4-1 down and never really recovered in the first set.
The second set was more hard-fought as the hosts recovered after going 5-1 down. Angeles Ligorria helped level the score at 6-6 in the second set.
There were twists and turns in the second set until a kill from Chuchi Corbalán won the set for Boca and ended the match as a contest.
In the final set, Boca took the lead very quickly and went 9-2 in front.
“The Lobas” couldn’t recover from that and Boca won in straight sets.
Beltramiro the MVP
Agostina Beltramino was the MVP after scoring 18 points for Boca, including three aces.

San Lorenzo beat Estudiantes
Former champions San Lorenzo are in third place after beating Estudiantes de La Plata 3-0( 25-20, 28-26, 25-22).
Estudiantes’ outside hitter Valentina Paredes made an error which sealed the first set for San Lorenzo after a long rally.
Cossar and Agustina Romeo with four and two kills respectively put Estudiantes on the brink of the second set.
However, a great reaction from San Lorenzo after three substitutions altered the course of the set and they stole the second set to go 2-0 up.
There were some nerves towards the end of the third set but San Lorenzo eventually pulled through to move just three points off the top with a game in hand.
