Al Wasl reinforced their leading position with a decisive 4-2 victory over Al Jazira.

Al Ain bounced back from last week’s defeat with an impressive 3-0 away victory against the reigning champions, Shabab Al Ahli.
The 14-times champions underwent a managerial change last week and it seemed to spur them on. Former Argentine striker Hernan Crespo has taken the reins as the head coach, and the team is undoubtedly setting their sights on clinching the league title this season.
It was a first loss of the season for Shabab Al Ahli. They now sit one point behind Al Ain in third. Only three points seperate the top three after eight games.
Khorfakken 1 – 2 Ajman
Ajman move off the foot of the table. They secured their first victory of the season.
Goals by Rocky Marciano (27th minute) and Hikal Chikhaoui (61st minute) confirmed a crucial victory for Ajman at the Saqr bin Mohammad al Qassimi Stadium.
Al Bataeh 3 – 3 Sharjah
In arguably the most remarkable encounter of match week 8, Al Bataeh and Sharjah shared the spoils in a six goal thriller.
Al Bataeh initially took a commanding lead, scoring three quick fire goals in a 26 minute spell.
However, Sharjah soon recovered to make it 3-1 before half time. Then two goals in three minutes from Luan Pereira and Caio Lucas secured an immense comeback.
Sharjah finish week 8 in fifth with 14 points, while Al Bataeh are only two points behind in seventh with 12.

In the other select results from a pulsating week, Al Wahda secured a dominant 4-1 win over Emirates FC.
Bani Yas narrowly defeated Hatta 1-0, while the match between Ittihad Kalba and Al Nasr concluded in a goalless draw.
