Deportivo Tachira regain top spot but Estudiantes are hot on their heels
In Group Occidental, Deportivo Tachira have regained top spot after drawing 1-1 at Hermanos Colmenarez.
Tachira lead by a point over Estudiantes de Mérida but they second-placed side have a game in hand.
They are also in much better form, with three victories and a draw in their last four matches; scoring 35 goals in 18 games.
They drew 0-0 against second bottom Zamora in their most recent game but face hapless and already relegated Trujillanos this coming weekend, who have lost all 18 of their league matches this season.
Estudiantes will leapfrog Tachira into top spot if they win their game in hand this weekend.
¡Nuestro próximo reto! 👊😡

Three teams fighting at the top in Group Central
Deportivo La Guaira with 28 points are leading Group Central but after losing two of their last five games, they head a very competitive and congested table.
Just three points separate the top three with Gran Valencia two points off top with two games in hand.
Only eight points separate top from bottom in an interesting table.
La Guaira visit Aragua FC this weekend while Gran Valencia travel to face a critical away match against Carabobo, who have won four of their last five games.

Caracas in a league of their own
Six wins from their last eight games has put Caracas FC in full control of Group Oriental.
They are 11 points clear of second-placed Monagas, who have played a game fewer but look likely to secure a runners-up spot.
Los Avileños, the league leaders, have scored the most goals with 40 in 19 games and have also conceded the fewest with just 17.
Caracas drew 1-1 against UCV FC last night. Monagas play Mineros de Guayana at the weekend.
