Club Ciudad de Buenos Aires were beaten for the first time this season, losing 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-18) to River Plate.
Ciudad de Buenos Aires had won nine sets out of nine going into the match but they were shocked by a fantastic performance from River Plate.
The hosts, despite the loss, remain top of the group. River Plate won their second game of the season and are in second-place, level on points with San Lorenzo.

More misery for UBA
San Lorenzo beat bottom-of-the-table Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) in four sets (25-21 25-20- 27-29- 25-18) to condemn their opponents to another defeat in Group A.
UBA showed some fight as they won the third set; only the second set they’ve won in the entire competition. However, they remain bottom, without a point and a win.

They were on the verge of losing the third set but showed their class to win it and eventually win in straight sets.
