Táchira’s lead is cut
Deportivo Táchira’s lead at the top was cut to just one point after they drew 1-1 against Hermanos Colmenarez in ‘Grupo Occidental’.
Táchira dominated the match and opened the scoring through Marlon Fernández but they failed to extend their lead due to Jesús Camargo’s brilliant efforts in goal for the visitors.
They were punished with 15 minutes remaining when Antonio Romero equalised to secure a draw for Hermanos Colmenarez.

The Paraguayan put Portuguesa in the lead with a header after half an hour.
15 minutes later, Cáceres scored again, on the stroke of half-time.
Youngster Cristian Ramirez added a third goal in the 58th minute before four minutes later, another Paraguayan, Nestor Fernandez, scored the fourth goal.
Zamora scored a consolation goal in the last few minutes but they suffered their third straight defeat and have conceded eight goals in those three games.
In the same group, Estudiantes de Mérida beat Trujillanos 4-2 in a thrilling game to maintain pressure on the top two qualifying positions.
They are just a point behind Portuguesa in second place and two points off Deportivo Táchira.

They secured another win at the Olímpico Stadium and extended their unbeaten home record.
Riasco scored twice in the opening 12 minutes, while there were further goals from Reyes and Darwin Gonzalez as the hosts ran riot in the first half.
Francisco Pol added a fifth in the second half to add extra gloss to a thumping win. La Guaira are top of the table on 21 points and have scored nine goals in their last two games. Aragua are second-bottom in the group with 14 points.
Gran Valencia drop points again
Gran Valencia lost top spot in the group after they drew 1-1 against Carabobo. Carabobo took an early lead before Angel Osorio levelled.
It was another frustrating result for Gran Valencia, who have drawn their fourth game in their last five matches and lost their 13-match unbeaten record last week against Deportivo Lara.

In a chaotic game, where both sides had a man sent off, Deportivo Lara’s match against Yaracuyanos finished all-square as they drew 1-1.
Yaracuyanos played with 10 men since the half-hour but the hosts lost that advantage when they also had a player dismissed.
Deportivo Lara looked to have won the game when Ruben Rojas scored with 10 minutes remaining but the visitors didn’t give up and found a leveller through Gustavo Páez.
Caracas go top
Caracas leapfrogged Monagas into top spot of the ‘Grupo Oriental’ after a 2-1 comeback victory over UCV.

UCV forward Ronaldo Peña shocked the hosts with an early goal but Caracas recovered in the second-half and turned the game around with Richard Celis netting the winner in the 76th minute.
The win was Caracas’ second in a row after three consecutive draws, while UCV have lost seven of 13 games and are second from bottom in the group.
Monagas drop to second
Monagas fell to second after they were held to a 1-1 draw against Mineros.
An Albert Zambrano strike put them in front but a Victor Navas goal secured a point for the visitors, who are five points behind Monagas in third.
