The top two of the Egyptian Premier League remains the same, with both Zamalek and Al Ahly winning by a one goal margin.
Although there were no changes to the bottom three, National Bank recoded a much needed victory in the battle for top-flight survival.
Zamalek beat Smouha
Zamalek narrowly beat seventh placed Smouha 2-1 to retain a 4 point cushion over Al Ahly in 2nd place.

The match
Zamalek took the lead in the 17th minute courtesy of a goal from Moroccan forward Achraf Bencharki.
The visitors then equalized three minutes later through former Zamalek player Mostafa Fath.
Zamalek though sealed the tie in the 42nd minute when Egyptian International Tarek Hamed put the ball in the back of the net.
Despite there not being any more goals, it was an action packed match with Zamalek having 19 shots compared to 16 for the visitors.
What it means
Zamalek remain on top, four points ahead of rivals Al Ahly, although with the latter still having two games in hand.

Al Ahly secure an important 2-1 away win against Al Ittihad to keep within touching distance of the leaders Zamalek.

The match
After a goalless first-half, Al Ahly broke the deadlock in the 50th minute with a penalty from Moroccan defender Badr Benoun. They doubled their lead five minutes later through a finely taken goal from attacking midfielder Mohamed Magdy.
Al Ittihad managed an injury-time consolation goal through Mohammed Sabeh, but it was too little too late in a match that Al Ahly had dominated.
What it means
Al Ahly have kept the pressure on leaders Zamalek and are just four points behind with two games in hand and still stand a great chance of retaining the title.
The city rivals face off in an enormous match on Monday evening with a huge three points on offer for the winners.
National Bank win bottom of the table clash
National Bank moved to within two points of safety after beating bottom of the table El Entag El Harby SC.
The match
Both teams needed to win this relegation six pointer at El Entag El Harby SC’s Al Salam Stadium.
National Bank took the lead in the 20th minute through an unfortunate own goal, before adding two more in the 50th and 64th minutes.
El Entag El Harby SC managed a consolation goal through Mohamed Abdelmaguid in the 74th minute, but National Bank held tight to secure a much needed victory.
What it means
For National Bank it means they are now just two points from safety, after going from the third tier to the top flight in just two seasons.
For El Entag El Harby SC it marks a continued fall from grace after they finished 8th last season. They now sit firmly rooted to the bottom of the table, eight points from safety and seemingly destined for the drop.
