The match
BVB were without their top goal scorer Steffen Tigges but they still were able to dominate the game. Tobias Raschl was their main threat and he put Dortmund II ahead after 18 minutes from the penalty spot after a foul on Alaa Bakir.
It was the 21-year-old’s sixth goal of the season.
Oberhausen played with more ambition in the second half and went close in the 67th minute when Shaibou Oubeyapwa struck the bar.
They also had a shot cleared off the line in the final minutes, as Dortmund won their sixth game from their last seven.
What it means
The Black and Yellows are now unbeaten in 21 Regionalliga West games and lead RW Essen by nine points, albeit they have a game in hand.
RW Essen won back-to-back games for the first time in 2021 after they beat Straelen 2-0. Goals came from Cedric Harenbrock and Steven Lewerenz
