Herner outclass the Angels
XCYDE Angels fell to a convincing 73-44 home defeat against Herner in the Women’s Bundesliga.
It was a third consecutive defeat for the Angels and their fifth from their last six matches.

The match
Herner have won 16 of their 21 matches and took command of the game from the get-go. They led 17-10 after the first quarter and were 20 points ahead by half time.
The visitors were efficient and clinical with Laura Zolper and Sarah Polleros both top-scoring with 12 points for the HTC.
Chloe Bully made her first appearance on her return from injury, and impressed scoring 10 points.
Magaly Meynadier was the outstanding performer for the hosts, scoring 16 points in the match.
What it means
The Angels’ loss of form means they have been unable to gain the crucial victory to secure a play-off place but have one match to do it against top-of-the-table Keltern on Wednesday.
Herner have one match to go and can finish second with a win. They can make it five wins in a row when they play bottom side Heidelberg on Wednesday.
