Facundo Torres put Peñarol ahead with a close range header at the back post after Jesus Trindade’s free kick was flicked on.
Ignacio Ramirez scored his ninth Clausura goal of the season in just his eighth start from the penalty spot after Agustin Ocampo was clumsily taken down in the box.
