Leicester face Chelsea

Leicester host Chelsea at the King Power Stadium hoping to go top of the Premier League this evening with a win. They can go top before Manchester City and Manchester United play tomorrow.

Leicester form

Leicester sit third in the table, just two points off Man United in top spot. They beat Southampton 2-0 on Saturday with James Maddison and Harvey Barnes on the scoresheet.

It was just their fourth home win from nine games with the majority of their points taken away from home

Brendan Rodgers’ side have lost just once in their last 10 in all competitions, winning seven of those matches.

Chelsea form

Chelsea lie seventh and trail Leicester by six points. Frank Lampard’s side have scored and conceded the same amount of goals (33-21) as the Foxes this season, but it has not translated into points.

Mason Mount’s goal gave the Blues an important 1-0 win against Fulham, their first win in four league games. It was also their first away league win in four, after three successive defeats.

Head-to-head

Leicester are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games against Chelsea, though four of them have been draws. However, Chelsea have lost just one of their last eight away league games against Leicester (W5, D2).
