Ancelotti faces former club
Everton face in-form Chelsea at Goodison Park, hoping to kick-start their season after a disappointing run.
Everton
Carlo Ancelotti’s side started the season brilliantly, topping the table after winning their first four league games. However, they’ve suffered a dip and have won just once in their last seven games.
Everton have lost their last two home games (against Man United and Leeds).
They drew 1-1 at Turf Moor last weekend, with striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin still scoring goals despite his side’s struggles. He tops the goal-scoring charts with 11 league goals this season.
Everton’s primary creator James Rodriguez started the season on fire but he has not registered a goal or assist across his last five games and has been ruled out injured for the game.

Chelsea
Frank Lampard’s side are in excellent form and are unbeaten in 14 games in all competitions, that can be stretched to 17 games if you take into account the penalty shootout defeat to Tottenham ended as a draw in 90 minutes. They are unbeaten in the Premier League in nine games since losing to Liverpool.
The Blues have scored the second most goals in the division with 25 and have scored in nine of their last 10 games in all competitions.
Head-to-head
Everton beat Chelsea last season in Duncan Ferguson’s first match as interim manager. The Toffees have won their last two home games against Chelsea.
Chelsea have kept a clean sheet in six of their last eight Premier League meetings with Everton.
