Liverpool dominate Wolves
Liverpool hammered Wolves 4-0 to stay level on points with Tottenham at the top of the league.

It was the first game that Anfield has hosted fans since Liverpool won the title.
The match
Mohamed Salah took advantage of a mistake from Conor Coady to put Liverpool ahead in the first half.
Georginio Wijnaldum doubled Liverpool’s lead after half-time with a fantastic curling shot, while Joel Matip’s header and a Nelson Semedo own-goal completed the scoring.
Referee Craig Pawson gave Wolves a penalty at 1-0 but overturned his decision after reviewing the decision at the monitor.

Wolves are in 10th, two points behind Man United, who have a game in hand.
Liverpool have won 31 of their last 32 home league games and have conceded just six goals in 11 games in all competitions since Virgil van Dijk’s injury.
Everton draw at Burnley
Everton were held to a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor as Carlo Ancelotti’s side continued their dip in form.
The match
Robbie Brady put Sean Dyche’s side ahead with a strike from outside the box in the third minute, but Everton levelled with a predatory finish from Dominic Calvert-Lewin – scoring his 11th Premier League goal of the season.

Both English keepers – Nick Pope and Jordan Pickford – impressed in front of the watching Gareth Southgate, making some vital saves.
Burnley stay 18th, but are just a point behind Fulham and have only lost once in their last four games.
However, the Clarets have only scored five league goals this season.
The Toffees have now won only once in seven games and are now ninth in the table.
Man City win with ease
Elsewhere, Man City comfortably beat Fulham 2-0 in a routine home win at the Etihad.

The match
Pep Guardiola’s side bossed the match and went ahead when Raheem Sterling scored from close range in the fifth minute after a De Bruyne pass. It was his 14th assist in 2020 – more than any other Premier League player.
Sterling was then tripped in the area, and Kevin de Bruyne made no mistake from 12 yards. It was his first league goal since the opening day.
It was the first time this season that City have won back-to-back league matches and they have scored as many in their past two league games as they had done in their previous seven (7).
City are in sixth place, six points off the top with a game in hand.
Fulham lost their eighth match of the campaign, but are out of the bottom three by a point. They have conceded more goals than any other Premier League side (21).
Chelsea beat Leeds
Chelsea came from behind to beat Leeds United 3-1 at Stamford Bridge.

The match
Former Chelsea youth product Patrick Bamford gave Leeds the lead after just four minutes, running on to Kalvin Phillips’ pinpoint pass to round Edouard Mendy and score.
He has now scored eight Premier League goals, with seven of those coming away from home.
Olivier Giroud then equalised for Chelsea in the 27th minute, poking home from Reece James’ cross in his first league start of the season.
Dating back to last season, the Frenchman has now scored in six consecutive Premier League games, becoming the oldest player to do that.
Kurt Zouma put Chelsea ahead just after the hour mark, heading in from Mason Mount’s corner. It was his fourth goal of the season.

Christian Pulisic added a third in stoppage time, tapping home after Timo Werner squared it to the American. He became the 13th different player to score for Chelsea in the Premier League this season.
The Blues are unbeaten in nine league games and are third with 22 points, two points off top.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace scored five for the first time in the top-flight away from home as they beat West Brom 5-1 at the Hawthorns.
Wilfried Zaha scored twice and got an assist, taking advantage of the red card given to Matheus Pereira in the first-half for an off-the-ball kick at Patrick van Aanholt. Christian Benteke also scored twice for Palace.
Palace are now 11th with 16 points, while West Brom are 19th with six points.

Southampton came back from a goal down to win 2-1 at Brighton on Monday night and go fifth in the table.
Danny Ings came on at half-time with the scores level and scored a controversial penalty that was awarded by VAR after a free-kick was initially given.
