Chelsea win comfortably
Chelsea moved into third in the Premier League after they beat Newcastle United 2-0 in the Premier League.
A Federico Fernandez own goal in the 10th minute and a Tammy Abraham finish gave Chelsea their fifth successive win in all competitions.

Frank Lampard’s side have scored 36 goals in 14 league and cup games this season, and they also kept another clean sheet – their sixth in seven games.
Newcastle are 15th with 11 points from nine games, having scored 10 goals.
United edge past WBA
Man United edged past West Bromwich Albion 1-0 with a Bruno Fernandes penalty proving the difference.
In a tight game, United won their first home league game of the season after being awarded yet another penalty.

Fernandes’ first penalty was saved in the 56th minute, but he re-took it after VAR ruled that former United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone had encroached off his line.
The goal was United’s first in the league at home for 324 minutes – that was also a Fernandes penalty against Tottenham.
United are in the top half of the table for the first time this season.
West Brom were awarded a penalty just after half-time for a foul by Fernandes on Conor Gallagher but the decision was overturned by David Coote when he went to watch the incident again on the pitchside monitor.
West Brom are yet to win this season, and sit 18th with three points from nine games.
Pepe sent off in goalless game
Nicolas Pepe was sent off for a headbutt as Arsenal drew 0-0 with Leeds United at Elland Road.

Leeds hit the woodwork three times while Arsenal had only two shots on target.
Arsenal have scored just once in the Premier League in five games, and are 11th in the table.
Mikel Arteta’s side have only scored nine goals in nine league games – their lowest tally at this stage since 1986/87.
Leeds had 25 shots but managed just four on target, and Marcelo Bielsa’s side have only won once in their past six league games.

Elsewhere, Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored twice for Everton as they bounced back with a 3-2 win against Fulham.

He leads the scoring charts with 10 league goals this season, and has now scored 15 in 16 games for club and county this season. Abdoulaye Doucoure scored the third for Everton.
Fulham lost their seventh league match in nine, and missed yet another penalty as Ivan Cavaleiro slipped and sent his penalty over the bar. It was their third successive penalty miss this season.
Bobby Reid equalised to make it 1-1 in the first half, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s deflected strike gave Scott Parker’s side some hope at 3-2.
