Premier League
There were goals galore once again in the Premier League with Manchester United hit for six by Jose Mourinhoโs Tottenham Hotspur, and Liverpool conceding seven goals in a game for the first time since April 1963 against Aston Villa.
There have been 144 goals scored in 38 Premier League games this season, an average of 3.79 per game which is the highest goals per game ratio in an English top-flight season since 1930/31. So far this season in the Premier League, a game has yet to finish goalless.
Unitedโs record-breaking defeat
Manchester United were beaten 6-1 by Tottenham Hotspur, their heaviest league defeat since losing by the same scoreline to Manchester City in 2011.
Harry Kane recorded two more goals and another assist, his sixth so far this season. It was the first time Man United have conceded four goals in the first half of a Premier League match.

Aston Villa thrash Liverpool
Champions Liverpool were hammered 7-2 by Aston Villa with new ยฃ28 million signing Ollie Watkins scoring a hat-trick and Jack Grealish contributing to five with two goals and three assists.

Villa only narrowly stayed up on the final day but have now won all three of their matches so far this season, their best start since 1962.
Adrian has now made five errors directly leading to goals in his 21 appearances for Liverpool, as many as first-choice keeper Alisson in 92 games.
Everton on top
Everton lead the table after beating Brighton 4-2, their fourth straight win and their best start to a season in all competitions since 1894. Dominic Calvert Lewin scored again and now has six league goals. Only Mohamed Salah has scored more goals than Calvert-Lewin since Carlo Ancelotti was appointed.
Meanwhile, Chelsea won 4-0 against Crystal Palace after a goalless second half. They scored four in the second half with a league debut goal and assist for Ben Chilwell.
Arsenal made it three wins out for four games with a 2-1 win over Sheffield United, while Leeds United held Man City to a 1-1 draw.
